Apologies for the absence on this blog lately...when I have so many social media platforms, poor old blogspot gets forgotten about sometimes...
Anyway, I've been rather busy lately, with a few trips to London to help Walker Books promote I'll Give You The Sun! I can't tell you how amazing all the feedback has been and how excited I am for it to come out in April. It's already a New York Times Best Seller! Hope it has the same success in the UK! It should do, the author Jandy is great and the story is beautiful.
In terms of promoting the book, first up we had a bloggers morning on the 29th of November. That's me and Maria, the lovely graphic designer I worked with, giving a presentation. Thankfully it wasn't as nerve wrecking as I thought it would be! It was lovely meeting all the YA bloggers and hearing their kind words about the cover! They all walked away with a goody bag, including proofs of I'll Give You The Sun and also The Sky Is Everywhere.
On Dec 3rd, I travelled around London with the lovely Victoria from publicity, hand delivering proof copies to clients while I created quick ten minute sketch of each person we met!
It's been such a great experience so far and I'm excited for what comes next!
