Just some typography I've been messing around with at uni!

animation; the zoo

So here is part one of what I have been working on over summer. Taking all of my sketchbook reportage drawings, I have made an animation about the zoo based on them.

I just wanted it to be fun and relax a bit with this project. :)

Part 2 will be on its way soo! 

photos from amsterdam

So yesterday I arrived back home from spending the weekend in Amsterdam! It is a beautiful city and I had a great time, I particularly enjoyed Katten Kabinet, a museum devoted to cats! As well as these photos I took a sketchbook with me, will post drawings when I get my hands on an A3 scanner.

It was a nice break before I return back to uni on Thursday as a second year! Touching up on my summer brief as I speak, will post the results soon... 

abandon normal devices

Today I trawled around Manchester to see bits from AND (abandon normal devices, you may have seen posters for it in the city centre), a festival of exhibitions dotted all over. Exploring and finding these little gems tucked away really made me appreciate being so close to such an art community. 

Among what I saw was a space for MOGA (museum of glitch aesthetics) which was like being in a strange digital world. More information on this can be found here.

Sadly I think today was one of the last days to see most of the festival, but I think Stanya Kahn's exhibtion at The Cornerhouse is on until the 16th of September.
