MCReate; launch night!

I just got back from the launch night of MCReate! It was lovely to see everyone, the turn out was great and the space itself just looked really lovely and professional. It's on till the 18th at the Bench Self Made Gallery, Manchester if you wanna see some good art from some very talented young people.

in memory of ali graney

Over the summer, Ali Graney, illustrator, colleague and friend to UCLAN and also my first year tutor sadly passed away from a very short illness and it was a shock to us all. This little drawing of two of her characters is my tribute to her. In her memory, there will be an exhibition in the Victoria building lobby at UCLAN. Previous students and friends of Ali's will be donating pieces for it. They will be up for sale and the money will go towards the Macmillan Cancer Trust.

The memorial exhibtion will be held sometime next week (I will update this when I know of a definite date), please come down and visit.

art and design launch night; a shout out to all creatives!

A friend of mine is organizing a FREE night on the 13/12/12 in the Self Made gallery in Bench in the Northern Quarter, Manchester. It is for anyone studying art, design, graphics, illustration, fashion etc or just the young and creative in general. It's a chance to display your work and network with like minded  people. If you are near the Manchester area or study a creative degree at any university in the North you should definitely get involved, free publicity!

I will have some of my work up on the night. If you want to take part you can find more information and contact details on the Facebook event here.

The deadline to get you work up is 5/12/12!
